Challenge

The client needed a comprehensive and values-driven e-commerce platform to sell their colourful vintage-style clothing, homeware, and accessories for women, men, children, and the home — all ethically made in the UK using organic cotton, tencel, and linen with plastic-free packaging. Their existing setup lacked a platform capable of managing an extensive catalog spanning multiple product categories and audiences, while also communicating their sustainability story, circular economy initiatives (pre-loved trade-in, leftover fabric Hatchery range), fabric-by-the-metre offering, London physical shop, and workshops — all within a cohesive and distinctly British lifestyle brand experience.

Solution Implemented

We developed a fully featured lifestyle e-commerce platform for Palava on Shopify, organized across eight primary sections — Women (dresses by named style: Cynthia, Rita, Louise; knitwear, jumpsuits, tops, skirts, trousers), Men (shirts, knitwear, trousers & jackets), Children (dresses, knitwear, jackets, baby, bedroom), Homeware (dining, lampshades, kitchenware, cushions, dog collection), Accessories (hair ties, scrunchies, socks, bags, knitted accessories), Hatchery Made (products from leftover fabric including the Wool Blanket Project, pyjamas, pouches), Heritage Collection (wool knitwear, waxed cotton trench coats, tweed jackets), and Fabric by the Metre. The platform also includes a Pre-loved trade-in programme, a Natural History Museum collaboration collection, repair workshop booking, sewing workshops and events, a sustainability blog, a seasonal print showcase, stockist finder, gift vouchers, and a London shop page — all reflecting Palava’s commitment to ethical, joyful, and sustainable British fashion.
